Jessica Simpson Announce Pregnancy by Uses Twitter

Jessica Simpson confirmed her much-speculated about pregnancy news via Twitter Monday.The news hardly comes as a surprise. Simpson, who has been engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson since last Nov., has been photographed in recent weeks sporting what appeared to be a very noticeable growing baby bump.

Her use of the social-networking site to deliver the news comes amidst reports that Simpson and her manager father Joe, were shopping the exclusive rights to her baby confirmation for the tune of $500,000, but failed to find an interested party.

According to the New York Post, People, Us Weekly and OK! magazines all turned down her offer, even after she upped the ante to include the first photos of the child (for an additional $250,000, that is).

The baby’s gender, and Simpson’s due date have yet to be released. It will be the first child for the star and also for Johnson.
